I find that my children get the same enjoyment that I did from coloring in.  Sometimes it it too easy to get wrapped up in todays world of tv and computers.  There are coloring in programs on the internet which are interactive and lots of fun but children get as much pleasure if not more with a box of coloring pencils and a book or just some paper to scribble on.

Little’s get a great sense of pride when they master coloring in between the lines and so what if the cows are blue and the sun is green, they can color the world as they want it to be.

Its not only girls who get fun from coloring in, boys can also enjoy seeing the pages come to life as they color in the pictures.

We couldn’t resist it and had to go in for a look. Wanda had her arms full with games while wandering around the shop but ended up putting a few back as we finally made it to the checkout. I ended up only buying Sims2 Pets for the DS while Wanda walked out with the same plus Prey for the XBox 360 and Sims2 Pets for her PC.

We also managed to find God of War for the PS2 at Big W which is the first edition in the series. We already have God of War 2 which is simply brilliant so thought we would check the first one out to see if it matched the quality of this one.

Well we weren’t disappointed. It is as good as God of War 2 although perhaps the graphics of the first one are not quite up to the quality of the GOW2 but this is only minor consideration as the game play is gratifying. The controls are slightly different, which means we tend to get killed a little more often until we get used to using the different buttons.

Since the first God of War is about a third cheaper than God of War 2 we definitely recommmend it to anyone wanting a really cool and reasonably priced PS2 game. By the way, it is also backward compatible with the PS3 assuming you have uploaded the updates from the internet into your system.

As we have previously mentioned we have the PS3 which is a brilliant gaming platform, so it is really gratifying to be able to pick up the PS2 games for a fraction of their original price and yet be able to play them on the PS3.

So when I found the Dragon NaturallySpeaking software and started using it as of today, I immediately hugged the box it came in. Well I didn’t actually hug the box but I would have if nobody was looking. What this means is that I can now put my feet up all the time as now I can just talk into my computer and it does everything I want it to.

Maybe I’m exaggerating a bit, as it doesn’t do everything and since I have only been using the software since this morning I still haven’t figured out everything it can do yet.

I am writing this blog post using my headset and nothing else. As I am speaking into the microphone the text automatically prints on my screen. I am typing this into Microsoft Word however you can also use it to talk directly into your favorite blog, e-mail account, or just about any other program.

It can actually get quite annoying at times when it doesn’t interpret your words correctly but I am working on it. You can train it to recognize your words and the more you do this the better it will work.

At the moment I’m having a bit of fun with it but it will be interesting to see if it becomes a major part of my computing life.

I have a drawer full of teas including green teas, white teas, red teas, black teas, teas from India, Sri Lanka, China and any other Asian country that you can think of; herbal teas, jasmine teas, oolong and chai. I actually think that if I stopped buying tea as of today I would still have enough in that drawer to last me about 10 years, and I am not kidding when I say that.

As I write this post I am drinking a cup of white tea and it is the nicest tea – very smooth and palatable. I am not into teas that have a sharp, bitter flavour. I have to say though that you can’t beat a cup of tea that has been made in the traditional way of putting the tea leaves into a pot. The flavour is definitely enhanced by this method.

I had a friend whose parents went to Sri Lanka and visited the Dilma tea factory. He told me that the tea that falls on the floor is what is used in tea bags. In other words, you just aren’t going to get the best cup of tea with a tea bag.

Still I will continue to use tea bags as they are quick and easy and as long as it tastes good I am happy.
