		<description>The confusion comes from this:

When I weas growing up in the 80&#039;s and 90&#039;s, There was a catchphrase that said-all Wiccans are Witches but not all Witches are Wiccans- and that was true.

If you were a Wiccan who did not practice Magic it was assumed it was because you werent ready but eventually you would learn it and practice it on regular occasion.

Also, the rede which is now popular to say is just advice or counsel was a steadfast law, if you violated it, you werent Wiccan or at least not a very good one.

Today we see message board members freaking out and citing the Wiccan rede when someone comes along and makes a claim that they practice so called &#039;Black Magic&#039; because it violates the rede but when someone mentions even casually that they are Vegan, the Wiccans say-Oh, well I eat meat because you know the rede isnt a law!

If its not a law when it comes to harming animals and the enviroment then it shouldnt be a law ever, so by that, &#039;Black&#039; magic is acceptable.

Im old school, I was raised by a Wiccan aunt who taught me to adhere to the beliefs and practices very strictly and I admit some of the ideas she taught me are not found in Wicca-Past or Present, for example, the belief in waiting for the doors to be opened unto my path-Not making any sudden major changes in other words but Wicca today has become so diluted that pretty soon anything will be a GO-Satan? Sure, he is the son of The Goddess and I kill cats to appease him, the rede? Its just advice, I like to kill cats so I dont pay any attention to the advice given, I mean come on!

I dont associate with most neo pagans for this very reason, they see me as a fluff bunny because I adhere to the older more Traditional ways and I see them as the same because they dont.

Also, when I was growing up, Witchcraft was a religion, a seperate religion from Wicca, Magic was the practice of Magic, Witchcraft-also called Traditional Witchcraft by some was the religion.

Evolution isnt a good thing in my book!
Blessed Be
